Complete guide to setting up deployment notifications for your Vercel projects

Quick Start Guide

What You'll Accomplish

  • • Connect your GitHub account for authentication
  • • Link your Vercel projects for deployment monitoring
  • • Set up your first notification channel (Discord recommended)
  • • Receive your first deployment notification

Step 1: Sign Up with GitHub

  1. Visit Deplotify: Go to deplotify.com and click "Sign Up"
  2. Authorize GitHub: Click "Continue with GitHub" and authorize Deplotify to access your account
  3. Account Creation: We'll automatically create your account using your GitHub profile

Step 2: Connect Your Vercel Account

  1. Navigate to Dashboard: After signing up, you'll be redirected to your dashboard
  2. Add Integration: Click "Connect Vercel" or "Add Integration" button
  3. Authorize Vercel: You'll be redirected to Vercel to authorize the integration
  4. Select Projects: Choose which Vercel projects you want to monitor

Step 3: Set Up Discord Notifications

Create Discord Webhook:
  • • Go to your Discord server → Channel Settings → Integrations
  • • Click "Create Webhook" → Choose your channel
  • • Copy the webhook URL
Add to Deplotify:
  • • Go to Team Settings → Notifications
  • • Click "Add Channel" → Select "Discord"
  • • Paste your webhook URL and save

Step 4: Test Your Setup

Deploy any project to Vercel to trigger your first notification.

Success! If you received notifications for both deployment start and completion, you're all set up. Your team will now be notified for all future deployments.

Troubleshooting

Can't find your issue below? Try these quick solutions first:

  • • Refresh your browser and try again
  • • Check your notification channel settings
  • • Verify your account tier limits haven't been exceeded
  • • Trigger a test deployment to verify webhook delivery

Not Receiving Notifications

  • • Double-check your webhook URL is correct
  • • Ensure the Discord channel allows webhooks
  • • Verify your projects are set to "monitored" status
  • • Check that deployments are actually happening

Integration Issues

  • • Clear browser cache and try again
  • • Use an incognito/private window
  • • Ensure you're logged into the correct accounts
  • • Check if you have permission to access the Vercel projects
